The Board of Directors and all statutory sub-committees are the designated authorities responsible for ensuring that all affairs of the Credit Union are carried out in accordance with established Legislation, Bye-Laws, and Policies.
Service to the Credit Union is strictly voluntary and all Members in good standing are eligible to offer themselves for service.
Service to the Credit Union affords Members the opportunity to add value to the Society through their collaborative experience and wealth of talent. Service as an Officer of the Society is a valuable platform to gain business awareness and credit management insight and to encourage co-operation and collaboration.

Consolidated Telephones Credit Union Co-Operative Society Limited
Consolidated Telephones Credit Union Co-Operative Society Limited (C.T.C.U.) is one of Trinidad & Tobago’s most trusted and secure financial institutions, serving individual consumers in the telecommunications industry, and their families, with a full range of saving, investing, asset management and other financial products and services.
The Society was established in November 1953 to serve employees of the local telecommunications company, Consolidated Telephones, and to provide unmatched convenience and financial empowerment to members based in southern Trinidad. Fifty-six (56) members initially invested the sum of Five Hundred and Thirty Two Dollars ($532.00) which has now, through prudent investment and commitment, developed to a current asset base in excess of Thirty Seven Million Dollars ($37,000,000.00) and a steadily growing membership base of approximately one thousand (1000).
Consolidated Telephones Credit Union Co-Operative Society Limited was formally registered on 8th February, 1954, in accordance with Section 17 of the Trinidad & Tobago Co-operative Societies Act Chapter 81:03.
The Office of the Society was initially located at #10 St. James Street, San Fernando. With progressive growth and increased recognition, the Society subsequently relocated to the telecommunications company’s Cipero Street Work Centre where office space was generously provided by the Company for the Society’s operations. In 2006, Consolidated Telephones Credit Union Co-Operative Society Limited purchased its own Head Office, a modern building located at #37b Circular Road, San Fernando, and it has been from this location that the Society has been successfully conducting all day to day operations for the benefit of our rapidly growing Membership.
Consolidated Telephones Credit Union Co-Operative Society is now an award-winning leader in Co-operative wealth management, serving individual members and their families locally and internationally with pride, integrity and humility. C.T.C.U. offers support for provident and productive purposes to all our members through a suite of innovative, accessible savings and financing products, easy-to-use online services. The Society serves members throughout Trinidad & Tobago, the Caribbean territory and internationally.
